Prolec height limitor- getting rid of.

Anyone know how these systems work and how easy it is to uninstall it from a machine. My case has one on and I'd really like rid of it. Seems to be sensors that cut off hydraulic supply so not sure how interlinked it all is.

I guess a firm that fits them should know how to remove them? Could try getting a fitter on phone bend their ear if not wanting to pay.

can you not temporarily jump/bypass the sensors with links and see how you get on?

Guessing it's a proximity sensor. Either unplug it or tape a 2 p piece over it depending on which signal it want to let the machine work

I need to investigate the system properly which I think might involve a bit of stripping down. Seems like the sensor feeds into a little solenoid or something which is mounted on the boom this then cuts of the hydraulic circuitry at the valve block for the boom lift and dipper lift rams. What I'm concerned about is pulling of the prolec stuff only to find it's programmed somehow and leaves the machine immobilized.

Yeah. I've turned it so it doesn't demobilise me. But its still alway beeping at something and tbh it clutters the cab and just another reason for something to go wrong so would prefer to to get shot of it

There should be a extra solonoid in the servo line to each of the services that are locked out by the prolec. I managed to bypass the one on my duck on a Saturday with a couple of bits out the van, it locked me out with the arm down a hole

if that's the case, remove the solenoid coils, if they close the lines -
if they hold them open, remove / replace the whole valves with some adapters to join the lines and remove the interference completely

Had it on a 225 once, can’t remember how to do it but I’m pretty sure I YouTubed it… if not the chap who drives the long reaches on the railways on here should be able to tell you
