Anyone want to put value on our poclain 75 not run for 8 years only parked up for hydraulic leaks: good tight machine but rot is starting to get at it .

Great machines and they had early servo controls too, Jeremy Rowland over on CMn has one that he has been restoring alongside his Hymac 580.

My landlord has at least one Poclain if not more floating about. Some of them get fired up for an hour or so every few years. I think he likes the challenge of making them go after decades of neglect rather than actually using them. During lockdown he dragged out an old Volvo lorry that hadn’t been fired in over 15? years and had an engine full of water. He got that going again. Was a tractor (FH?) unit he stretched into a skip lorry. Fastest skip lorry in the West Country apparently

Got to be a bit of value as a repairable or spares for a classic. They were good machines in their day but were always leaky .

Around £110/t X weight. 75 generally will sit around 18t so around 2k.

You may get more you may get less but that would be my benchmark.

how bad were the leaks ? If you can get it going and it has a few buckets I’m sure someone would buy it. Where abouts in wales are you ?
Also think about what you’ll take for it as no one can buy it til you say what you want .

I'd say the running gear'd be the ultimate deciding factor on its worth ... no way around a bollo-ed undercarriage, other than replacement

Tbh with a larger machine over 13t it's really the weight unfortunately.

A 20t isn't really worth breaking down for a container. And they are reasonably cheap. If it was a Kommie or Cat there's value but sadly the older euro makes (except liebherr) don't fetch great export.

Sadly you probably right . I saw a 60 locally last year generating a fair bit of interest . I doubt if it was a 75 or 90 that the interest would be the same.
13t size machine is still a handy lifter or yard machine and not too big . The 75 from memory is 17-18 tonnes .
