You see them (or used to?) off the M5 at Avonmouth, where the motorway goes over the river Avon, on the south side of the river.

Royal Portbury docks, big into car carriers ......... also supplying jet fuel into the strategic oil pipeline to feed the insatiable demand for flying (nobody really wants to know where it comes from or what it funds )

Am led to believe some 'Plant & Go' can carry 1680 Kg - probably not the longest / widest model as more weight in the chassis. Interesting about the back to back cabs, these would maybe make also an ice cream van conversion, as these need the driver to be able to walk from the rear to driving position, so no step chassis. I am guessing the motor homes are the type that look like a separate 'caravan body on the rear rather than a converted van. Anyone remember a car based pick up that had a sort of lift off fiberglass rear camping body pod, removable so the pick up used commercially for its proper job until needed for holidays.
