Afternoon gents I’m in need of a petrol water pump 50mm should suffice for what we get up to also need to pump the hot tub out now and then 🤣

It’s not something we use all the time but you know what it’s like it’s nice to be able to just chuck it in the cab in the morning rather than picking one up at the hire shop ! Not looking to spend mega bucks just wondered if anyone had any advice

do it as well as you can,but learn to do it better
bought one with a Loncin engine on several years ago ... Hodna copy basically and it's been great .. starts everytime and pmps like **** .... IIRC was 130 quid with 20ft pick up and 60ft discharge, with fittings, but I bought some of the 2" QCs for it -- 1000ltr/m ... Ebay .. too far back to look at my history, but did find summat similar a while back when pumps were discussed then and had gone up about 20 quid

there's this one, but not Loncin and only 600ltr/m

What man as done, man can do, what never has, maybe
I’d personally have a big submersible use a genny on site and plug in at home simple

only issue with that is you'd need a decent genny to run a current hungry submersible Mog

Was gonna mention submersible and genny myself. Ok you won't be able to pump as much as petrol pump but with a 2" submersible you won't spend half your time priming it just drop it in the hole and away you go.

I did look at submersible as for at home it would be fine but on site we don’t own a genny

Buy a genny as well. I know it's adding to cost but you can utilise a genny on site as well

Maybe not ideal then. Petrol are ok for small volumes as you can keep the revs down but if you run them out of water you'll end up having to prime them again which can become a pain. That's why i mentioned submersible as they self prime so you don't have to have some one keeping an eye on them all the time. Obviously for big volumes petrol much better. I have both and find submersible gets 90% of the use because it's handier even if i have to take genny with it.
