Pel-Job Control Panel

hi i'm new here, i have a fair range of old stuff including a Pel-Job eb22-4 witch has been a good work horse of the last 7 years, its had a number of issues over the years that i have been able to work out but the control panel is doing something its not done before, dose any one know what the 2 boxes are with the red and blue circles round are for ? a red light comes on in the red one when you turn the ignition on and it takes abought 26 seconds and then transfers it to the blue one at this time all the panel lights up as normal and you can then start it. any help would be great thanks

engine heater plug timer? ..... what's your ambient temp. like ATM? or it might have either started working as it should or the temp sensor's thrown a wobbler and thinks it's MUCH colder ??

I agree preheat warning, and if you find the temp sender and pull the connector off does it change anything? Druids got a good point with the EB stuff it just started working again!

im in Cornwall so not cold, normally around 14 degrees, you know where abouts the sensor would be? there is one on the air intake hose that had a broken wire but i have fixed that and its the same, has come up with a fc1.2 code now as well witch i worked out is the stop valve so need to look at that now lol ,

I had several Pel-Jobs from that era, I remember nine times out of ten any fault codes were caused by bad earth's, they were almost ahead of their time in that respect. Otherwise great machines, think you can still see some similarities in the Volvo mini's they produce now.

Temp sender front by the fan on the side of the thermostat, take the wire off and earth it with the ignition on, the light should come on.
