Openreach have just attached this to the pole that provides overhead copper connections to a couple of dozen properties in our lane . Unfortunately I missed the chance to ask them what it’s about. We are about 400m with the old village exchange with two green cabinets . Something to do with fibre ?

My copper phone line goes through that type of junction box (in a pit).
No reason you couldn't use it for fibre, but it's probably just copper.

If fiber it will be in little black ducting with a yellow pinstripe and a 2 inch square yellow sign warning of fiber installed on the pole
