It's a beyond arguable fact the roads here are the worst I've ever seen. Main 4 way dual carriageway junctions with metre square sections of blacktop missing...
Discussing with auto windscreen guy I know well this week...we seem to be permanently getting them in.
He said he's never know it so busy they can't cope with demand...but still does me a quick repair for £30 wonga.

Conversely they have been out planning and patching sections of the main road through the village at night prior to surface dressing.
The amount of complaints about the work. The time they're doing it, how they're doing, what they're doing is wrong and a waste of money are ridiculous, all from people who don't know the first thing about road maintenance and likely last week complaining about the state of the roads.

Without a doubt the biggest obstacle to well maintained roads are the public. Obviously next is the layer of fencepost tortoise management within local authorities.
