Offset boom not working

Anyone have any ideas why my offset boom should suddenly stop working? (Volvo EC17C)The ram is extended, when you move the microswitch side to side you can here a clicking sound on the boom and the engine loads up but nothing happens.

Not a second changeover switch anywhere is there? Sounds like it might be trying to divert the flow the the aux pipes, which I think was a common setup on these machines.

Watch the aux pipes when you try the microswitch- are they twitching? Or plug an attachment in.

Press button on bottom of joystick sounds like it's been pressed and pressuring hammer circuit, it swaps between hammer and offset boom

there's a solenoid valve (Cetop3 IIRC) under the floor on the right, close to the root of the offset ram ... solenoids have a habit of burning out on them ... it's loading 'cos it's at end of stroke and the valve is not operating to flow the other way ??
