I had one not dissimilar to this that I inherited from my Grandad when he died in 02. It was nice tool for hedgelaying (I went through a winter of that) Back about 20 years ago we had a wheel digger in on the inlaws farm to tidy up an old building and move stuff around. I left my axe in the top of the gatepost before crib... then it was gone (along with the gatepost) into a deep hole in the ground and back filled when I came back from crib. Still gutted about that. Always looking for a NICE classic handaxe to replace it, but not at that money!

That's just about new price!! If you want a nice but slightly cheaper axe look at wetterlings. Not made any more as I think they where bought out by gransfors. I have their splitting axe and it is really nice.

These aren’t bad for the money imo.

very similar to an old carpenter's axe I 'inherited' from an old chippy I used to know, many years back .... was a lovely shape in your hand and just the right weight/balance -- no idea WTF it went, thinking about it, as I've only just realised I haven't seen it in me large box of chippying tools, in some time :unsure::(
