Newbie Pel job 150

Hi All, I’m new to the site, thanks for letting me join. I’ve just got an old pel job 150 excavator! It’s all the budget will allow at the moment…!
Quick question…. How does the arm move sideways? ( is that known as ‘slew’ ?) I can’t seem to get it to move?? Not sure if I’m missing something, I’m thinking it’s the button on top of the left hand stick?
Any help/advice would be much appreciated

are you meaning the boom offset or the whole machine slewing your machine may be a rebadged tacheuchi? the offset may be on a rocker pedal on floor or a button on one of the sticks.

The Boom ‘offset’ that’s it, pretty sure it’s a Pel job.
I thought the boom was on the switch on the stick, but that doesn’t nothing… could be faulty I guess? The rocker pedal on the floor stalls the engine when pressed… I assumed that was for an attachment?

Think the peljobs were older Volvo's, which had the boom swing on one of the lever/sticks. Press it, then it switched the left stick to boom swing instead of slew.

The switch on the stick is the offset control. It's a change over solenoid for another slice on the valve block.
Press and release the switch. Then move your level left or right you should get the offset working.
Press and release the switch again and the lever should return to slewing the machine.

You are correct the floor pedal is a two way, two pipe supply for an attachment. You may have the attachment pipes on the side of the boom. If they are not there you will see two capped rigid pipes where all pipes exit the front of the cab.

Welcome, Pedal on the floor probably the auxiliary circuit if it stalls the engine, this would be used for a hydraulic breaker when it’s attached, you could upload some photos for us of the machine! Photos of switches, controls and pedals and levers would all help too.

Thanks for this, the switch on the stick isn’t doing anything, I will have to get it looked at, hopefully just a worn switch

Might well be as simple as a fuse. The fuse box is down low on the right hand side at the front of the plastic "dashboard" above the hydraulic oil sight glass.
Worth checking the simple things first.
