For the sort of money a new one of those would be, I’m not sure you would be any better off than a unimog though, that’s allready a proven machine?
Dread to think what they are now but they were starting north of 70k a few years, very sorted motor, full 4x4, three locking diffs, PTO as an option. They do a couple of proper vans then the chassis cabs

Can only tow 1100kg… my old fiesta could tow that 🤦‍♂️

Up to 2000kg in the right spec. But let's face it the only thing they will ever tow is a caravan.
I personally like the look and I like my wife's Kia Sportage. But we bought a Kia due to the value for money. Not cheap not expensive but seem to get reasonably good reviews for reliability.
At over 50k for a sorento I don't think think they represent good value for money any more. Just another car bloated with gadgets.
We where going to change my wife's car next year and honestly nothing on the market, albeit a looking at 1-2 years old, appeals to me.

I saw a couple of kias that looked smart, then looked at some of the more entry level ones, still more than got to spend to fair. It's crazy to think a 4x4 Kia is now 50k thats not far off XC90 money

And you don't really even have people carriers anymore so choice of Decent size family cars is pretty expensive on average. And if you want something with a decent warranty it is absolutely abysmal. And then everything is hybrid.
ATM pickup seems to be making most sense but they are so big now. Wish they did bobtail versions like with the old l200. I think ssangyong do but not keen on one yet

We got put off ssangyong after front wheel bearing needed replacing at a £900 part cost.. which wasn’t even available - cross referenced and nothing fit! Shame as good tow vehicles!

I understood that the Ssanyong was basically Merc. running gear, motor, box, etc., with a different set of 'clothes' ...

I joined the ssangyong Facebook group and seriously put off by the complete lack of parts availability. I can except any car could break down but having no European parts stock is not the one.

Seriously needs some bigger tyres.
Will be interesting to see if it comes here.
And what the price is.
I would consider it at sub 30k including vat.
can't see there being much chance of that though :unsure::(
