Just noticed a comment online about the new bobcat R series. E17/19/20. Anyone got one or used one?

  • More Power, More Precision – A new engine and load-sensing hydraulic system give you smoother, more responsive control even with high-demand attachments.
  • A Cabin That Works for You – Less noise, less vibration, and smart features that keep you comfortable all day long.
  • Small but Mighty – Big-machine technology now packed into our most compact excavators yet.

I doubt it's as groundbreaking as they make out.

Cab looks prity much the same bar some overlay to make it look new.

I assume they will be yanmar engines now?

do it as well as you can,but learn to do it better
assume it has a VD Pump then, if it has load sensing, as can't see HTF they'd achieve that with anything else pressurising the oil, bolted to the flywheel of the lump, whatever it's running now ????

The e19/e20 was always load sensing, it was the e17 that was a gear pump.

I agree. I would imagine engines are yanmar, they’d changed to yanmar a few years ago in all but the e27 as the Kubota engines got hard to get hold of.

Looks clean! Haven’t tried the R-series myself yet but I’ve heard good things about the smoother controls. How’s the feel on the joysticks and visibility from the cab?

Haha not a bot, just joining the discussion :) no need to be rude tho 😅
we get a fair few, so it's almost an automatic response these days ... an intro. in the relevant section usually gets newcomers past the bot spotters :giggle:
