Neuson 803 loss of power

Turned up to site today and had a problem with my micro digger , usually a great little machine, whilst unloading from the trailer I noticed The blade seemed to struggle to lift , tracked Round to the the site and left the machine running 10 mins whist the landscapers and customers figured out what needed digging ( they’d only had 4 weeks waiting for me ) ,went to get into position and the micro was struggling to lift the boom,also the right side track was very slow if moving at all , the boom was very slow to lift but bucket operation seemed normal , being a micro it has direct controls and the boom, right track and blade are all controlled from the right hand side controls , I took the machine straight back to the trailer , I noticed and I have noticed this before there was a constant hissing noise from the front of the machine near where the valve block is hidden, the same sound the machine makes when you start to load up the hydraulic system , a kind of noise like air rushing , I’ve heard it do this before when stationary but thought nothing of it .Anyway , got back to the yard and unloaded, still making the hissing noise when stationary and right side track still slow but boom ok, started to strip the panels of to track down the hissing noise but before I could finish the noise stopped , machine now seems to run perfectly, can lift itself up , and tracks no problem, hissing has stopped , so what was that all about ? Coincidence that it was all controlled by the right side controls ? Why would the hydraulics make a sound like it was just about to be loaded up when the controls weren’t being touched ?

Worst case it could be a pump problem, but check all the easy things first

Hmmm, good thought, it does have a flip over cover but still possible I guess when crap gets under there , thanks , I oh so hope it’s the answer, would explain why it disappeared once I started to strip it down.

I really hope not CPS , that was my first thought, but then I figured all the functions would be slow .

PRV on that side of the valve block?? bit of summat (rubber crumb) holding it open slightly

hose lining breaking down .... spent days tracking down one bloody crumb, on the 'Drema, a few years ago, blocking a 0.6mm orifice in the LS line port, coming out the main chest
cured the problem instantly though

This could also be the track frame expander leaver not fully one way or the other? I've had that before too!

Cheers for the reply’s guys , two days on sites now with no re occurring problem so I reckon hiluxman was spot on
I don’t use a breaker on this machine so the pedal shaft was slightly stiff and not returning on its own, easy to accidentally press the pedal on such a small machine . The machine was difficult to start that morning , turning over slow then Smokey once running, i just thought the battery was on the way out but now putting two n two together the hydraulic circuit must of been open whilst she was trying to start from cold, lesson learned and no money spent

Good that your sorted the best way to check whether that was the problem is to press the pedal and see if the problem returns
