So, this has been ongoing for some time. The loader is leaking from the location in the pics below. It's presumably due to poor welding of the tank seams behind the bottom plate.. Of course, the tank is now welded into place as a structural component of the loader so it's not like it can just be lifted off and replaced. M1 have sent the local agri engineer out, he wasn't happy at having to try to weld up as instructed, but did his best. As you might have guessed, it didn't work. The latest is that he's got to take it back to his yard and try again.

My issue is that this might well compromise the structural integrity of the rest of the tank, and also- who knows how good the other seams were from the factory? The eagle eyed among you will no doubt have noticed porosity evident in the original welds, which I did point out to Multione UK.

What do you all think? Pics below of the original leak, M1 service department's advice to UK dealers, and the first attempt. To be fair to the local engineer, he wasn't happy with the job as every time he started to pool oil started seeping out further up, so he stopped.

do it as well as you can,but learn to do it better
empty tank as much as poss. .. tip machine over as far as you can to get residue away from area to be welded .. steam or gas axe the area thoroughly and MIG it to get a nice melt pool in the locations required ... dabbing a bit of stick here and there is never going to get to the problem ....... personally .... I'd be wanting it replaced ... not fit for purpose and an admitted to, known problem, as they're issuing 'a fix' response :mad::mad::mad:
it is only going to get worse as it's a structural member under heavy load

Plus it is in their interest to get it right, otherwise they could lose a lot of potential sales

now is when you get to see what their reputation and warranty is worth. Good to have social media these days to make everyone aware of how they act.

Similar to Nev the Rev on twitter with his Doosan issues. Reputation hard won, easily lost.
