Hi guys,
yep, got a split hose which is leaking hydraulic oil and making a mess, grrr! The hose looks tricky to remove, goes from front spools to pump at rear. First question is can the hose be repaired, or is it better to get a new one made? Then while hose is off, I want to cap the connectors on digger to stop oil going everywhere, what size cap do I need? It’s a 22 mm nut, see spanner on connector at rear, but not sure on thread size. Cheers

You won't get anyone to repair a hose but new ones arnt really expensive if you take them into a shop.
These are hydraulic hose plugs, they are tapered so just push them in.

The cab on your machine should tip forward to give you fairly decent access from memory.
But if it's still difficult to access then tie a piece of blue rope to one end of the hose, pull it out then when you have the new hose reattach the blue rope and pull it back in to same route. Not fool proof but often helps

Cab doesn't tip on your version of the 8015.

My advice is ring a local independent mobile hose guy/girl.not the likes of pirtek ect.

Now you've identified it it's a basic call out and charge for the hose.

Alternatively you could take the hose off and get it matched up but I've not found that any cheaper (cost vs time) when you've got a good independent mobile hose man.

that looks like a steel line to me .. get it off and a good repair man'd weld that up .... getting that made local could be uphill - assume they're Male/swivel females attaching that to the pump and then to a flexi,..... are you talking about the flexi or the steel ?
if it's the flexi then as said, tie a line to it to pull the new one back through

Yep, it’s the flexi split about half way along the line, in an awkward place to see. Took a while to actually trace it as it was running down another pipe. Then it was a dog getting a spanner in there to loosen the nut, but we are getting there ;)

A set of crows foot spanners goes a long way working on one of those 8015's from experience
