in the second-hand market, large excavators are defined as MASS EXCAVATOR, but what would be meant by this definition, front excavators or large ones that move boulders, what would be the mass excavator par excellence the caterpillar, thanks greetings happy holidays

As far as I understand it mass excavation spec means a shorter dipper and usually no quick hitch. Just designed to dig big holes and load lorrys.
As opposed to being a more rounded tool for digging trenches and grading. Or be demo spec with a straight boom

Mass-ex is an excavator with usually a very short stick and an oversized bucket. Most of your pictures are face shovels. Bull clam is effectively a 4 in 1 bucket attached to a bulldozer. Fell out of fashion years ago but for a time were often used capping over landfill cells.

could you kindly post some photos and mention some famous and widely used flagship specimens thanks, perhaps these excavators are the ones used for large works such as maritime port works positioning boulders for the construction of artificial reefs or perhaps clearing large quantities of accumulated and piled up materials or perhaps large construction sites of large works such as the construction of dams, roads and highways where it is necessary to move and excavate large quantities of inert materials, crushed stone, earth and other loose materials or to load and move large blocks of stone, boulders and boulders in large quarries or mines, am I wrong? perhaps they would be the legendary frontal demag' thanks, sorry if I bother you and I insist, thanks, greetings.
