Kubota KX015-4 hydraulics

Morning all.

I've got a Kubota KX015-4 that is struggling to operate the slew ram, dozer blade and 360 rotation. The slices for these are all on one side of the main valve slice, but inspection has shown all pipes in correct position and no obvious debris in oil / damage to slice faces.

I was thinking that it needs a new main slice, but the fact everything else works fine is confusing me! Does anyone have any suggestions on what I might have missed please?

Do they also all operate from the same pump section? That would be an obvious potential cause based upon the symptoms. Those services are often grouped with the auxillary on the third pump section. Have you tested the auxillary?

Great shout. Only takes a bit of mud under the pedal.

One pump two outlets (P1,P2) change the pipes round, see what happens.

Ended up being the check valve on the inlet slice!

I don’t mind being wrong so long as you get a result!

That would make sense, but we are working from a distance and blind! Start at the beginning normally, pump- valve- spool- check valve- ram- motor- pilot control- filters- hose- pedal, checks are endless but you have to start somewhere!

Oh yes - the advice here was definitely helpful. Just never expected it to be that check valve - with the other operations working correctly it didn't even seem like an option!
