Kubota d905 - engine out - freeze damage - water into sump - order of checks .

Engines now out , now to look for culprit for water leak into sump after the big freeze... recon Ill take off the sump first and fire some water into the radiator hose connection on top of the engine and see where it comes out :) .. any tips on what else to check and in what order . cheers alan c

It’s what I do!
You need to eliminate the cylinder head and gasket! Remove them first, then fill the water jacket in the block with water, if water has been going into the sump then best to remove it any way.

cheers mick , took sump off and tried to fill took about a liter before coming out of the block (internally) , looks like middle pot .. head coming off within the hour , appreciate the help
