looks a very purposeful tool .... IIRC Renault also did something along these lines too but not quite as heavy duty .... @longstroke on the old CEF would be the boy to ask on the rusky front

Saviem TP3 ... a mate had one and swore by it ... ran a few bits of plant and his favourite weapon was his 688 Case duck which he used to chuck buckets off, into the lil' Renault (Saviem) ... handled 'em well -- Brian was a mad man in it

The unimog IS a hell of a vehicle - end of story - but in fairness to the ruskies, they too built some awesomely good weapons too ....basically with your usual subtle humor you want to tell me that it is a bin, a received message, the unimog is unreachable and unstoppable. message received thanks.

watched a you tube vid the other night on their Antarctic exploration vehicles, some of which are still in use 50 years after their creation

let's face it the Germans have a natural talent for mechanics, they are unsurpassed, the Russians can only copy badly, it takes a natural talent to make simple and functional mechanisms, the simpler they are, the less they break, the easier it is to repair them.

I don't know about that I think the t34 proved that ruskies can out engineer the Germans when required.
Not only producing a more reliable machine but superior manafacturing speed.
It doesn't matter how good something is on paper if it's broken down
