JCB beaver gun not working

Hi all,

I've a JCB beaver, the pack runs fine but the gun is very weak, very dull thumps.

I've swapped it with a gun I know works fine and it does.

My question is this. Do these breakers require re-gassing like larger hydraulic breakers ?

have you got the right point in it Rich .... put the wrong one in mine once and it didn't 'perform' ... realised what i'd done and worked fine with the right length bit in it

I’ve had something similar.

Is it the anti vib hammer? You can get them regassed but i struggled to find someone to do it. May have to go back to JCB for it so I was told.

I changed the hyd filter in the power pack and it sorted mine out

The man for this is Nigel at Attachment Solutions @Dr pecker. There's not much he doesn't know about repairing these.

Cheers fella, I've spoken to a few local breaker dealers and they all tell me they send them away to be sorted

there a chap in plymouth who sorts them, re-gasses etc. Bought a beaver pack off him. Depends if your close I guess.

Nope, i am other side of the country, Essex. Sounds like he can sort the problem.
