Hello all new I’m new to the forum I have just bought a tidy 1995 Jcb 803 digger most pins and bushes are nice and tight for there age but the king post has a fit bit of play in it I was wanting to remove the top and bottom pin and have a look how bad it is weather it needs just bushes or pins as well maybe even line boring I’m guessing it’s a job for a puller I’m interested to see how people Have set it up to get the pins out

It'll need to be bad before it needs line boring. I made a puller out of a bit of M12 threaded bar and some thick washers, and turned down a top hat to engage on the bushes. Same set up to pull the old ones out and the new ones in. Your machine is a bit bigger so you might want to go to M16. Make sure it is the king post bushes and not the slew bearing.
