JCB 8014cts fuel/starting issues year 2000

Hi Everyone
Im new to the group and would like to say hi to you all
Ive got a starting issue with my mini digger . All was fine then it stopped and refused to start . Ive done all the normal stuff , filters etc and even gone down the possible causes route . Ive even replaced the starter motor and battery , the injection pump solenoid , lift pump and the heater plugs resistance is normal and I am now suspecting the injection pump. With the fuel pipes off, there appears to be little or no pressurised fuel coming out of the pump when the engine is turned over .I dont know if this normal or how much should come out , not being a diesel engineer. Im at a bit of a loss now and was hoping you guys might help please .

If there is no fuel I would check the stop solenoid first, on the fuel pump. Remove it and you will be able to see if it's working correctly when you turn the ignition on and off

pump should be 'spitting' fuel out the lines - a new solenoid doesn't necessarily mean it's a good solenoid - have had plenty of faulty new components 'out of the box' - quality control no longer exists IMHDO .. remove it from the equation and see if the pump 'spits fuel '

Have you checked there is fuel in the tank? faulty gauge

The other classic reason for these not starting is having one of the pedals slightly pressed down. The aluminium pedals get seized on the steel pin and they are very easy to "look" like they aren't pressed down but actually are just enough to put a load and not start the engine

Or a banjo filter at the pump blocked no fuel going in none coming out!
