JCB 8014 service advice - help

Gentlemen,
I am struggling with servicing my JCB 8014 and I need some advice. I changed oil in Track Gearbox (both sides) and put Hypoid Gear Oil EP90 GL-5 API, but later reading JCB User Book I learned that they recommend SAE 30 HD Mineral Engine Oil Heavy Duty Engine Oil ??? This is strange, because I always thought that any gear mechanism would prefer Gear Oil not Engine Oil. Anyway, following the book I replaced gear oil with recommended engine oil.

The Service Book does not show how to grease Track Idler Wheels and Track Rollers ? Both need Gear Oil HD90 GL-5. I tried to search the Net hoping to get some info regarding the above, but no joy. JBC web site is complete rubbish ! No technical support what so ever. They don’t even have service manual for download. So, I am hoping that someone here will be willing to share his knowledge. Especially on greasing procedures : Track Idler and Track Rollers, Slew Ring Bearing, Slew Ring Gear Teeth (this need “Special Slew Pinion Grease” but there is not technical spec of the product?)

I've always put sae 30 in my track motors on my jcb. Not expensive and as far as im concerned its what it says in the book so no come backs.

Grease for slew ring is different to pins and bushes. I use jcb blue grease for all machines in all situations, I did 2000 hours on 25mm pins and bushes before I replaced them, jcb dealer said they normally do 800 hours before been shot and mine were well from shot but just too slack for me

SAE30 oil in the hubs is normal now, even up to 100c models.
Having said that, I think I’ve probably put 80-90 in my 803 it’s entire life, without even questioning it.
End of the day any oil is better than no oil!

Idlers and rollers may contain gear oil, but as far as I know there is no service schedule for changing the oil. Oiled for life as far as I’m concerned.

Slew ring teeth is something that you should do if you can, but you will probably be in the minority doing that tbh.

I think the 800hr folk must have been buying into the 500hr greasing. My 8015 went with over 2500hrs on it little bit of play here and there but nothing that warranted pins and bushes. It wasn't over greased either.

My old 801 same ...80-90 oil and no probs its had bucket end redone but kingpost etc still reasonably good for wear.
