Anyone remapped a 2013 68kw 3cx? Got one and it's sluggish on the road (we are used to agri spec jcb handlers 145hp that pull up hills at 40kph)
doubt it would remap that much, no intercooler and sure a smaller turbo etc. i used to drive a 2013 3cx contractor that had torque lock six speed transmission and that slowed a lot on bigger hills it had the higher output engine but nowhere near 145hp.Anyone remapped a 2013 68kw 3cx? Yes 4 speed powershift and torque lockDifferent animals!!
Simply cannot compare JCB Agri gear to construction spec stuff!
Does it have torque lock?
Yes fair point, the top spec 3cx was only about 105hp back then this one is 91hp. We don't usually map anything but had 1 tractor that felt a bit flat, mapped it up about 15% and it transformed it.doubt it would remap that much, no intercooler and sure a smaller turbo etc. i used to drive a 2013 3cx contractor that had torque lock six speed transmission and that slowed a lot on bigger hills it had the higher output engine but nowhere near 145hp.
Just checked and it's got an intercooler... which is a bit odd as all the brochures iv seen that I thought were correct says the 68kw had a turbo but not intercooleddoubt it would remap that much, no intercooler and sure a smaller turbo etc. i used to drive a 2013 3cx contractor that had torque lock six speed transmission and that slowed a lot on bigger hills it had the higher output engine but nowhere near 145hp.
the contractor i was on was around 110hp and six speed powershift noticeably more go than the standard turbo models but was not anywhere near the farm special telehandler my boss had then, i guess you could make some gains powerwise with a remap no one i know has had it done so thats as much as i know. some supposedly same power 3cx machines are much better than others i have found.Yes fair point, the top spec 3cx was only about 105hp back then this one is 91hp. Thanks I'll leave it for now and do a bit of research. I was thinking if it was the same engine and turbo then a little remap up to contractor power would be no issue at all, but if they have different turbos etc then I don't want to push my luck too much with the enginethe contractor i was on was around 110hp and six speed powershift noticeably more go than the standard turbo models but was not anywhere near the farm special telehandler my boss had then, i guess you could make some gains powerwise with a remap no one i know has had it done so thats as much as i know. some supposedly same power 3cx machines are much better than others i have found.
