Evening all.
I have a few jobs to do up at my brother in law's "farm" that he recently purchased. Adding new foul drains, re-instating flags, that kind of thing. All short runs so easy hand dig, yes, that is a thing.....haha.
He also wants a hard standing in front of the barn and some drainage on a track leading to it.
We were discussing the logistics and it turns out he has a JCB 2cx at his business which only gets used to clear the snow so his delivery trucks and vans can keep working. He's suggesting having it moved to the farm to move the muck out and aggregate in. I'm guessing one of us would be driving it with no previous experience, should be a laugh. I'm just wondering how much more they can shift than a 1 ton dumper.
The main access road isn't overly wide, a 20 ton tipper slipped of the lane and got stuck in the field, had to use a machine to empty it before recovery could pull him out.
Just after some thoughts really
