Hydrostatic Dumpers

Hello

Looking for a new dumper - always had manual but fancied trying a hydrostatic but wondered if the hydrostatic were reliable ??

I have mainly had Benford Terex but notice that thwaites 3T swivel tip is a bit lighter than the Terex which is always better when it comes to carting everything about .... apart from the shite paint are the Thwaites as good as Terex ?

I had a hydrostatic overheating its oil in the hottest weather we had last year. Was thrashing it on long turnaround trips though.

Do thwaites and terex do a torque converter transmission?

In my opinion, the Thwaites is a better machine. Yanmar engine is sound, its got much better thought out details than the Terex - you can actually get a can of fuel to the diesel cap and I find it a much nicer thing to drive. The skips a much better shape too.
I wouldn't rule out the Wacker Neuson either. Been driving one for the last few weeks and its got some really nice details, the skip is quite shallow but much wider than the Terex or Thwaites, also has a Yanmar engine and I'd certainly consider it up against the Thwaites.

They definitely do a hydro-static - I've had one on hire before.

There are Thwaites hydro 3t swivels out there in your price range but rare though, I'm looking atm. I own a 2006 2.3t Thwaites hydro swivel and it has been bulletproof, only had new boots, seat and a hub seal, just routine servicing and change the hydro oil every year

Cheers - I would take a standard setup as well dependent on what comes along - finding one with a skip that doesnt look like a bombs gone off in it is a challenge
