I had a 140-9a Duck for nearly 2 years 1 of the last before they became HX series, the machine had its faults and quirks but it was 100% reliable with not even a weeping joint or o ring, in the 2 years there was not a single failure to start or warranty claim. The machine was very smooth and comfortable with the cab having all the creature comforts but she was a pig to grade type 1 with though.

I have a very good mate who is a supervisor for DSM and he has a new HX380 and loves it.

Hi Rammy
Have been driving an HX140 for the last couple of years, and my honest opinion is top machine
smooth as silk to drive and quick too!
Gone back to a 4 cylinder perky which i think is a bit thirsty, but plenty of power.
Cab layout is good, with a bit more room, but left hand console doesn't lift up any more so if the seat is well forward getting in and out (especially)can be a bit tight
console is all touch screen and the four cameras around the machine are pretty useful allowing a "birdseye"360 view if you want.Handy for tight spots and working with numpties!
My biggest dislike is the adblue tank.Only holds a gallon and awkward to fill.
Apart from that one small quibble i like it
