Hour clock misty

One of my mini diggers is suffering from a misty hour clock, it doesn't phase me but its doubles up as the fuel gauge and I send it out on self-drive.

I have removed it from the digger and left it in a bowl of rice all the condensation has now gone how can i stop this from occurring some sort of tape over the top and heat gun it in place?

Looks to be a tiny spilt on the fuel decal which could be letting in water

Could you get like an iPhone screen protector and cut to fit ?

Seriously though you need to vent it, once you've got an in and out vent it'll stay clear.
If it's sealed try a Desiccant bag, but you may need to change them after a while.

I'd guess the water is penetrating at the corners, so I'd be looking to keep the water out as a first stage solution.
Just some clear silicone around the edges might be enough.
