Hooklift/Fifth Wheel Truck

[LN Pipeline]

Have been considering building a hooklift truck. I would like to be able to pull conventional fifth wheel trailers with it. I came across a picture of a Euro hooklift truck that had a fifth wheel plate mounted on it.

Is anyone familiar with such a setup? Could anyone post pictures of how it is mounted? Is the plate significantly higher than a standard configuration?

I have never seen such a truck in the US.

You basically remove the hooklift gear, can do same with tipping body

can you imagine the cost of that set up !!!!!

The truck I saw appeared to have the fifth wheel mounted on top of the hooklift frame. So the hooklift body would be a permanent fixture and you removed the fifth wheel when not needed. Kind of the opposite of that Palfinger setup.
