Hi, I noticed some time ago on another forum someone had converted a hi tip one ton dumper to a front end loader. I thought it looked a very neat conversion and a very useful tool and would like to attempt something similar.
would anyone know a link to that thread as I cannot seem to find it now. Unless the gentleman who built it is now a member here? If so would they consider offering the conversion as a kit now it has been perfected
Many thanks

Was it John roboplant that did that conversion but on a six tonne dumper when used used the swivel skip on his tracked dumper

yeh John did a loader with a 6t swivel Thwaites very successfully .... and as you say, stuck the swivel skip on his tracked dumper .. also extremely successfully .... thought i had some pix, but apparently not, having looked

Thanks for your reply. The one I’m thinking of was a terex hd1000. Ended up painted red with the skip used as tipping trailer. All very neat

They are some pics in the old forum, just had a look, didn’t he convert one to a loader as well for moving big logs?...that’s the one I was thinking about?

Guys, you've caught me. There's some on here would give Sherlock Holmes a run for his money @V8Druid 🧐

Graham has offered up the relevant link above. What is it you'd like to know? @Diggerdavey
There's nothing drawn this time around, all was rough sketches and chalk. I have been meaning to put it all to paper for my own interest but not got around to it yet.
What you will need is the new dumper frame configuration. The Mark 1 version was based on the older cranked arm loader frame which had its limitations.

I think your well documented photo stream should be enough to get me going. I’ll start looking for a donor machine as I don’t really want to dismember my current dumper. If I get stuck I’ll post up for help
Thank you for replying all
