Hi folks,
For some reason I thought I'd already done an introduction but I guess not, so here goes...
My name is Matt, I'm an agricultural engineer/farmer in Lancashire. I used to work for a John Deere main dealer as a technician. Before this I completed a degree in computing, and studied Maths, Physics, Electronics and Computing at A - Level. I now currently use these skills as an independent mechanic and repair all sorts of machinery and specialise in electrical/electronic repairs with diagnostic equipment to suit. I enjoy tinkering round the farm during what little free time I have available, usually making something to achieve a task or buy machinery to tidy up and use. Me and my brother run a few machines between us during the summer mainly and when we can fit the odd job in. Varying between plant machinery and tractors hence me joining the forum.
I work on quite a lot of plant machinery in the local area, although I try not to as my preferred area of expertise is Agricultural machinery, but I won't see anyone stuck. On that basis I'll try and answer any technical questions on here an pass what little knowledge I have on to others in the hope it helps them out and potentially saves them a large bill and time.
I've a few interesting projects on the horizon which I will post on here as I get round to them...
