HELP: Terex HD1000 foaming Hydraulic oil from the filler breather

Looking for some idea as to why hyd oil is foaming through the filler breather.

A few things! What colour is the oil? Is there a blocked filter? Does the cap have a broken or missing o ring?

Whatever it is it must be common, I've seen no end of hd1000s do it

partially blocked pick up strainer ??

Had a cavitating hydraulic pump cause this before on one of these.

They are bleedable but on the hydrostatic don’t get confused with the hydraulic side of things and the drive system!
