Generator problems polyfysion welder

My generator on my welder being an arse won’t fire up enough for proper current so welder fails weld going to disconnect it put plug into good generator but is it 240 or 110v?

No plugs etc before any one says that hardwired in

Looks like it can do 3 voltages

I'd agree it's multi voltage ..a lot often are

Is there a switch on it anywhere similar to the old pc style power supplies, might need to open it up to see, or any markings on the cable might have 230v 1.25mm2/1.5mm2 or 110v 1.5mm2 etc although no guarantee no one has swapped the cable at somepoint

Multimeter is the best start.
If the welder is low on power, I'd guess the output voltage is low. This happens when the "phase capacitor" goes soft.
The cap isusually hidden under the end cover.

its an electrofusion welder for pipe fittings needs 40v

actually turned it off and fitted new carburetor, spark plug, air filter, fuel filter on the Honda gx270 and it behaved after that successfully welded 90mm hdpe pipe

So - it was not maintaining revs?

Single phase, it will have 4 windings of 57 to be able to make 110 and 230 guessing the welder will have a voltage written on it somewhere!
