Feckin Openreach bas****s

I've been trying to get hold of anyone in Openreach to get a new line put in on our plot. I've tried to get it applied for on the developer services site but the site crashes before I get through it. I put in a complaint on line of course because they are the only company who can deal with the infrastructure in the uk for installing a phone line but they don't have a phone. Anyway I got a call from a foreign country with a op who spoke way faster than I could listen so I got her to email me the instructions. She did this so when I got home I tried again and it still didn't feckin work I've tried contacting them again via email but no reply after 3 emails .
What the feck is going on with this country's infrastructure????

Is it for a company or private?
And do you actually need an open reach line? Anything else nearby? Virgin, local fibre project etc? Failing that starlink isn't cheap but hassle free and no need for any connections

Usually developer services are very good…..
tried the site on a different browser?
they give you way more than you ask for and if your ever out of bends etc they will fire them over asap.

I tried both , they're the only show in town . Plot is on the black isle , nothing else at all available. I know once it gets handed to local guy I'm home and dry as he's sound as a pound but it has to go through online application first . right now I'd pay double to go elsewhere .

I reckon so. This working from home needs stopped immediately. I have a family member doing it who has been a field officer all his life til Covid. Now he's swinging the lead along with the rest of the company . All out of the public purse . I'm a socialist leaning capitalist but whats happening now is pushing me further right wing than I've ever been .

they're a bunch of twunts - full stop ...... with a monopoly that should be stamped on - forever

stop an openreach van and talk to the driver ... they'm (pretty much) all pretty sound and might be able to organise it from their tablets for you

Nice one Dave , that worked . I got an English speaking human call me directly after using that email and once she realised they had a system error she logged my company in whilst I was on the phone and gave me her direct email address so I can copy her in on my progress . My site is registered now ! Also the quote for superfast broadband was only 28K ! . She acknowledged they are having issues and apologised for the inconvenience . Took the anger right out of me !

You’re dead on , all the staff seem sound . Our local guy is outstanding . You just have to go through the process to get to him

Was super lucky with my last site, Airband have just ran super fast everywhere locally so we got the bt duct to the verge( for free )and Airband ran everything back to the exchange (for free )
