Yes I know you can get 16 amp plugs for them that’s not the point, you don’t see them ever though.

got them on my generators and got all distribution leads and breakers from days in music business back down to 13 amp but you don’t see it on site.

Plaster or tiler doesn’t rock up with them on their paddle mixer or guard less 4” grinder plugged into their bq special extension lead it’s all 13amp 3 pin

The trust now mandate a visit from an external health and safety advisor on jobs over 4 weeks and reports going straight to trust project manager as part of that. All part of the game now.

Auditing
13.1. Sites working for 30 days or more should be visited by the Contractor’s own competent H&S Advisor normally at two week intervals with at least one visit being for the purposes of an inspection which will be recorded.
13.2. Following each inspection, the H&S Advisor’s report is to be provided to the following, as appropriate, within four working days of the visit:
 Project Manager
 NT Site Contact
 Site Supervisor
13.3. Each Designer and Contractor should ensure that arrangements are in place to assess the skills, knowledge and experience of professional and supervisory staff against the requirements of their own company’s health and safety management systems.
13.4. Each month Contractors should supply, electronically, details of the number of near misses recorded by them on National Trust projects.
13.5. The National Trust may conduct a Health and Safety Audit on construction sites at an agreed time. The audit is designed to begin in the site office to look at the management of the site and then check whether it is being put into practice.

Definitely seems to be a difference between the old school ranger staff who are just like crack on we’ve got our tractor stuck again can you come save us to the new young office type project managers where it’s all super official by the book

We’ve spread out now and working for 6-7 different surveyors, rangers, project managers across the let estate, the enterprise team, the core stately homes and the estates teams.

If their experienced and know how to get rd the construct line requirement on the purchase ordered system then your gold the rest are just by the book.

I agree Giles, but you would if the only available outlet at source was a blue socket ... as you obviously have/had to have.

plasterer/tiler would soon learn to 'standardise' .... and for domestic situations, have an adapter (and RCB) for source...those blues are so much less grief, rarely pull apart, stand huge abuse and seldom need replacing. drop/stand on/run over your average 13A - 3 pin and it's in need of replacing ... it's a mindset thing

Apart from the obvious point ..they don't have a fuse so easier for numb nuts to excite himself if no RCD.
