It's a good price, looks like it's been used very little or had a decent touch up. I contacted them no control system and "came off a bobcat"
Not the greatest of information so either some odd reason to sell it on its own or it's been "liberated" from somewhere

Apparently it was on an ec27 so either a mistake for it being a bobcat e27 or being a Volvo, I tried to get a price for just the control side of it and they wanted the serial number and was told it was sold when I asked for the serial number. Apparently according to engcon there isn't a S40 and all ec02 are S30?

On the lookout myself for a used tilty either attached to a 2.5t digger or without.
Just had a couple of the days on the u17 and whites hitch special - i know its not apples and apples the 6t v a 1.7t but it takes so long trying to tidy up without a tilty ...saves days for us.

Feels like operating with both hands tied behind your back and only one foot to operate the joysticks doesn’t it?

Very much so. Couldn’t go wrong for 3k.
You beat me to the punch on that one when it was on facebook 🤣
Never got round to pulling the trigger on one, although as much as I want one the cost keeps it as a no, that and the 8026 has one hammer line which needs the pedal valve changing to use as a 2 hose or needing to get another 2 hoses added, new levers and what ever else needed to move the pedal control to the lever.

Probably cheaper to change machine to one with twin hammer lines already on it and run a 4 pipe system than to go for the 2 pipe system

How well can the small ones dig on their own?
As in, digging out the last metre or so of tench where you can get the digger into.
Lately keep being stuck between machines although a 1.5-2t would probably fill the gap. The problem is I have a huge difference in size between the dx10 and the 8026, probably wouldn't be as bad if was zero tail or even if it could just dig inline with it's track

Yes to be fair the 4 pipe from engcon new is what, 7k these days? Although pricey I’d say it would pay for itself.

Not well. You have to be realistic, there is way less slew force on a 2.7t than a 9t, and as for a 1.9t, don’t even go there! Slightly offset is fine, at 90 degrees to the trench is impossible unless it’s silly soft sand and a narrow bucket.

But a tilty is invaluable for tidying up, as @Furniss said.

do it as well as you can,but learn to do it better
well with a bit of 'fiddling' that unit could become a 4 piper, with not a lot of effort ;) .......... but 40mil pins top and bottom :oops::oops:
