Doosan Dx85r dirt in fuel tank

Hi, i'm new on here having just bought the above digger for work draining on a farm.
Unfortunately I immediately need some help from experts!
It is an ex hire machine, I have filled it up 3 times from a filtered supply but have a problem in the fuel tank.
Machine stalled and discovered no fuel getting to the water separator. Blew back to tank with air line and all good but has now stopped again.
How do i access the tank?
Does it have a removable panel?
Any suggestions how to get something out of the tank if there is no access hole.

Welcome.
Cant help with details with the fuel tank on a doosan, I know someone who had a similar problem, drained as much fuel as he could, then sacrificed a wet and dry hoover and used it through the filler to clean the bottom of the tank.
Another option take the tank off and steam clean?

very unlikely to have a plate, they are normally plastic nowadays

Not been around one of the machines in question, but id be surprised if there isn’t some sort of drain plug?
if you can run the machine, and get it moving round a fair bit, really get the muck in the tank in ‘suspension‘, and then drain it immediately, you might stand a chance of getting most of the crap out of it. Unless of course it’s one or two large lumps of debris?

when it stops, are the filters clogged? Or is it something in the tank simply covering/blocking the pipe in the tank?

id be surprised if it doesnt have a fuel drain plug. my little kubots with a plastic tank has a drain plug in the bottom.

May be worth buying a service/operators manual for it ?

Took filter off and it is clean, I suspect it is something large floating about sucking onto the tank outlet, hence the need to get into the tank or its a fishing net through the filler! First time it happened tank was quarter full, this time three quarters.

If they draw air they obviously won’t draw fuel, that what it sounds like to me.. but sometimes they blow a seal if they are full of crap.

If it is a flexible pipe from the tank to the sedimenter/water separator it could be a delaminating hose, collapses under suction and gives full flow under pressure.

There's a chance that if it's an ex hire machine then someone has lost the fuel cap and covered it with a rag..... and guess where the rag is now!
It could be possible to buy a cheap bore scope camera in a local motor factors and have a look in the tank!
That said, I'd undo the hose where it joins the tank, see if theres any fuel there, if not blow back and see if it runs.
If its fairly easy to remove the tank I'd do that and give it a good wash out to be sure.

Diesel bug can block some big holes. Any moisture in a tank with fuel now is perfect for it. As said above if its ex hire it could have been fuelled with any old diesel out of any old drums or worse.
