Got a job coming up in late summer. Will have 13 tonner on site for a few weeks so going to use a bit of diesel.

Being hired in machinery it will have to be on white regardless that it's technically agri work.
Can I transport 1000 liters in a plastic bunded diesel/oil tank in a trailer?

Don’t think so legally - something in the back of my mind says 900l is the max without ADR.
Unless you are heavy digging all day you are unlikely to use more than 100l a day - I have a 100l tank with pump that had from Aiden @CPS which tends to keep up with a lot of my site work and can be filled up at a petrol station on the way to or from site each day.
Alternatively can you stick your tank on site and get your fuel supplier to fill it there? It’s a lot of money sitting there if security is a consideration though…

used to be a 1000ltr max, un-bunded for red. Local fuel supplier used to use an IBC in a pick up for small fills/servicing m/cs on site .. can't see white being any different

Yeah that was the other option- do daily trips to fuel station- but none on route so will require an extra 30- 40min round trip each day. Think security would be ok here but would have to see if access permits as very steep little lane down to site for road vehicles- digger will be coming across a few fields to get in for same reasons

If it's agri work, run on red and drain and fit new fuel filter and refill with white?

Yes 1000L max.
But iirc fuel cube etc are slightly less than 1000L to keep you legit.

You'll need a basic ADR awareness course and extinguisher etc on board afaik

IIRC you can carry up to five, 200 litre drums with impunity
