Daewoo 140 Tracking issue

Tim'd have a field day on this one ……..
makes no odds …… the motors still run at equal speeds and lay down X amount of chain/links, per revolution … if the sprockets were differing sizes it would have an influence, but with equal numbers of teeth/circumference they will always run at the same feet/min, assuming the motors run at the same speed.

SMT removed a link on one side of this machine to get it going, to track it from work site to where it sits is via a 3/4 mile straight road, every couple of meters you had to adjust its line.
New equal amount chains fitted and no more adjusting......

were these chains fooked Gus? so that the pin centres were no longer as spec? it would be the only explanation if the sprockets were 'grabbing' at the bushes and pulling them into mesh … it would then gain … but otherwise, if the link ctrs were right ….. each side would advance, say 150mm ctrs, 1.5m per ten links per side ..
