I’ve a 5 ton on 450mm steels floats on wet ground, got fed up of sliding around in the 3 ton in the wet stuff. Not ideal having 2 machines but horses for courses. Stick with bog mats, stable mats etc if you have steel rope loops on them to hook it with bucket etc or a thumb on machine To grab them easiest solution.

Found these on Facebook yesterday thought I'd post as they are interesting ...... plus haven't seen many diggers on here since this virus started😏 Has a dual track type system on it, thought it was a single track at first

Price of that standard of conversion I bet you could buy another machine on steels

What about the screw in ice studs you get for tyres in Scandinavia? Would surely help a mini grip and run less risk of snapping the track in a foot of shite

The rubber strips are about 100mm wide about 10mm thick conveyor belting but could be made to match your clearance between tracks and blade etc, there is also metal strips for the bolts to go through under the rubber to stop ripping the rubber,could use u section and would work as grousers too would make a cheap wide track that can be swapped between same size machines

Basically the same as the trackgrip ones I posted a while back in the thread.
It really depends what Doob wants to achieve. The original post said about increasing flotation. These increase traction.
