Concrete off glass

Evening all,

Anybody have any good ideas how to remove concrete splashes off glass, its a full height sunroom, did try to protect it when pouring but a few have got through, reluctant to to use a scraper/Stanley blade and did not want to used any acids or chemicals until I've had a bit advise.

IMHO likely too late, get some white vinegar on it quick.... the alkaline in cement can etch the glass!

Had good results with the belle concrete remover.

Can you give it a blast with a pressure washer?

Congo from auto smart will do it and a pressure wash. Leave on for 12 plus hours. Also you can use a scraper blade once the worst is off

I know that’s everything you diddnt want to do but it’s all that will work. A scraper won’t damage your class btw but it should only work one way

Thanks for that, I've found a product in my garage called eco acid, I used it on some concrete imitation sandstone capping stones, was asked to re-stain them and this was part of the prep process ,tried a bit on some on some snots a it does dissolve it I will try the white vinegar as well.

never had much luck with congo for our tremmie and cone flow skips so when we had auto smart in last time we asked if he had anything better he come back with something called XXX that seems to do the trick a lot better then congo.

If you have a multitool you get blades for removing silicone grout etc from glass without scratches

We found it’s ok for light stuff it won’t remove thick stuff. The other thing that helps is a turbo Lance

There was a fantastic product at plant works a a few years ago but I lost the details

Belle concrete remover is good gear. Will take it off in 10 mins. You can literally hose it off or use a bucket of water to wash it off. It dissolves the portland in the cement and hasnt damaged the glass or paintwork on my digger or truck. I've used it on both to get splashes off.

If you use a scraper get a brand new Stanley blade a flat blade won't mark the glass but if it has a ding in it or some grit stuck to it that's when you start scratching things
