Mostly about personal preference. I like merlos. Dislike the few manitous I've tried.
I always think jcbs are lovely to drive. Probably not so nice to own.
The Claas badged Kramer's are great machines to. Really powerful and the best gearbox I've used with the hydro and breaks all combined on one pedal.

It’s what I do!
Manitou 6m great machine, Jcb 7m and above ok , Merlo not keen, Dieci don’t know what they like now, weren’t good early 2000s,

Like for like Manitou a little wider than JCB, but JCB a little heavier.
Dieci, the end of the boom had a habit of cracking.
Your first choice should be what type of transmission do you want?

hydrostatic, honestly I tried a caterpillar th 41, making a real ranking as the best the most reliable robust and durable, I repeat in my part MERLO FRATELLI DIECI, manitou, others never seen in my part only a big MAGNI that they use with the basket, let me know thanks also as commands such as agility power efficiency speed, compact powerful machinery, not clumsy and slow as turtle bin thanks, greetings.
