clarification, what better conformation of mechanical blade arms, how to overhaul them and restore the housings and pin seats, bushings of the articulations thanks:
hi, I was wondering which is the best functional and technical conformation of the lifting arms of the mechanical blades. The question arose spontaneously as long as the machine is new and maintenance and lubrication with grease and lubricants are carried out ok, but when the machine is old and the play and wear between the bushing pivot arm and the various connecting rods is excessive, and the arm and bucket are excessive and it is necessary to intervene. How to restore the clearance of the bushing pivot tolerances? how to make the convergence between the various housings and put them in axis to avoid interference 'I saw a large caterpillar with an excavator-like box arm, what do you think of this solution, why is it not adopted in other machines? thanks sorry for the inconvenience.

Cat Monoboom. The 992 was the only big loading shovel that had it, and they’ve gone back to normal twin arms on the newer versions. Draw your own conclusions. I’ve seen a similar configuration on a 906 compact loader as well, and it works well on that size of machine. You can see the hitch better when changing tools, but that wouldn’t be a factor on a 992.
