I’d fab a frame to hook on with a few 210l drums. More compact than an ibc on the back.

It’s what I do!
Have seen them do that but bolt on a counter weight to stop the wheels spinning when diving into the heap!

I think I would prefer to leave it on. Can you put a bar through near the pivot to lock it into position, leave the bucket off so that the backhoe folds in tight behind you. Unless you are using it in a really tight space the backhoe rarely gets in the way. What year is it?
