Bucket order.

Goodmorning.
I think I have checked out all the options and am making the right choice but want to make sure I didn't over look anything.
About to order a hydraulic QH and some buckets. This will be coming on a pallet so its important I get everything in one go to save on freight.
The current estimate has the QH and fitting kit, plus
1)1ft digging bucket
2)2ft digging bucket
3)34" Scandi tilt bucket
4)4" cable bucket
5)1000mm land rake(not sure if I should get this or the heavier root rake)
6)Single ripper tooth

So my questions are:

Root rake or land clearance rake?
Should I make the 1ft and 2ft buckets scandi?
Am I missing a bucket size that makes you money?
Any suggestions?
Anyone have a contact at Harford for a discount?

I’d go with the land clearance rake over the root rake, you could always put your 1ft bucket on for roots if needed

I had a full set of harford buckets come with my ecr25d when I got it.i then wanted another set and called harford but they told me to go through a dealer.with dealers add on they became very expensive so I bout a set of rhinox which have been brilliant and arguably better than the harford due to the lower build height.i mentioned this to harford M.D. at plantworx last year and he sold me a root ripper tine a lot cheaper than I could find anywhere else.he told me they would sell direct in future.cant fault the buckets but they are taller than my rhinox

I have two 1ft digging buckets, one with teeth one without, a lot better for digging around pipes etc without teeth.

You’re not going to be able to utilise a root clearance rake much on a 1.6t

if by "scandi" you mean long toe IMHDO it's a no brainer .... you don't have to fill the bucket, but can 'carry' a lot on the toes.

Yeah. I ripped up and loaded a paver walkway for someone and neither one of my buckets was great for scooping them. I think that extra toe to slip under them would have helped alot.?.

big fan of the long toe ... need to acquire or create one ...

Big fan of the Scandi style buckets here. I also have this very useful bucket.
And one of my favourites is this device

Was good for water, gas and leccy supplies.

I’m amazed how much I use my ripper tooth.its makes life so easy pulling up tree trunks and pulling up really compacted ground

I would say a ripper tooth should be in any set of buckets once you have had one you use it all the time I would use mine most days for something

get a quote from BMC is you havent already, really top notch kit and very reasonable prices.

Well spotted. Had it many years....but about to be retired to the farm!! Got the replacement coming Monday!!

I wish dumpers were more common over here. I just priced a ausa pivoting dumper and it's 30k....
