I've got a Bomag BW71E vibrating single roller. It's got a Hatz engine. It's got an oil leak on the front of the crank case, where the through shaft for the throttle protrudes. The throttle linkage is at the back of the machine but the shaft passes through and out the front.
I assumed it's the seal on the shaft but if I remove the nuts off the shaft it doesn't want to come out. You can feel it's connected inside and I'm reluctant to force anything.
Any suggestions on what's causing the leak / how to extract the shaft?
