Bobcat E10 sticky valve? tracks/blade swap

Hi guys, wonder if you can help?
My 2015 E10 with about 1000 hours has its first ever fault...

The button that swaps between expanding the tracks and the blade control is very intermittent, often takes lots of times flicking between the two before it’ll entertain doing the tracks. If I track about a bit and if I keep trying it eventually gives in.
Obviously it fails mostly at crucial times when you’re under pressure!

Is this an easy fix? I’m assuming some kind of electrical diverter valve as it’s a button not a lever. I can hear it trying to engage but when I flick the button it often won’t do it. I do service my machines myself but I’m a builder definitely not a mechanic... sooo which out of the hammer and WD40 I have in my tool kit to use first?

Check the switch with a multimeter first would be where I would start after that you need to find the valve and check your getting power there. If your getting power and the coil will attract a screwdriver to it when it's on then I'd get the valve out and take to get checked

I think the buttons good, I can hear it try to activate but will check, I’m sure I’ll know someone with a multimeter.
Any idea where the valve might be?
I guess I’m trying to gauge whether to tackle it myself before I take it to bits or just take it to be done...

I know there’s a few on here with E10’s, anyone had this problem before?

Sorry I've not done much with a E10 it might be a relay that you can hear clicking but the advantage of it making a noise is that you can follow the sound

When changing from blade to tracks out or in, try not to let the ram for the tracks to go all the way in or out, if it does it builds pressure in the solenoid valve and when using the changeover button, it will operate the relay and the solenoid but due to the pressure in the track ram circuit the valve won’t move to the blade service. From what I remember the valve is situated under the foot plate o/S front corner.

Thanks also, at least it’s not too deeply buried... I’ll pull some panels off when I get a minute, from memory the floor plate and lower side panels come off easily enough.
Its like doing surgery in a shoebox just changing the filters at the back!

I agree you need an extra wrist joint when working on these machines, what fun it is doing a rotary joint on one!

Can you not get to it from underneath like a car?

The panels are only 4 bolts, and with the floor plate off, most of the machine is exposed.

Just to update... and help anyone else in the future.
was the switch on the dash! very intermittent probably just loose connection as it’s perfect now after a clean and refit.

Apparently it would be very unlikely to be the actual diverting valve According to Bobcat dealer who was very helpful over the phone.

I had the same problem and turned out to be the valve . I can see it going again as get the odd but of leakage but not a problem yet.
