Bath panel that's not rubbish?

Is Carronite thin plastic? Is it rigid or or is it the kind of panel that bows if you lean against it?
I like how rigid the MDF panels are but the one we have has only lasted about 3 years. The board has started swelling and cracking the paint in the middle away from the cuts bizarrely.

He may or may not have been slightly under the influence of one or two tequilas when he posted, he was probably seeing double…..
