Bateson trailer floor

Has anyone changed the floor on a 16ft bateson trailer it's 4 boards but 2 are slightly less than 4ft and 2 are slightly more than 4ft so would need cutting down from a 10 x 5 sheet .

I can't see a good reason why the cross members aren't at 4 ft spacings and wondered if anyone had a idea before the welder comes out

I don't know if you`ve priced OE off your dealer? IW ones are reasonable enough not to be messing around cutting full sheets, ard the edges are sealed.

Bateson don't sell kits just 8x4's and 10x5's, Graham Edwards only have 8x4's as they make all there floors fit sheets, Armistead Engineering are getting me a price for a ifor kit and what sizes the sheets are in the kit.

Market weighton building supplies can get 8x4's at a significant saving but can't get 10x5's

Can you put keruing boards down instead?

I know they aren't cheap but cheaper to replace a damaged board than a whole floor later on.

I could do but it would break me to put tarmac on them

Madness it works to 4 4ft (1220) sheets but the 2 middle ones are slightly oversize. The cross members don't have enough meat to catch them either
