For the big cities the reality is there is a need to reduce emissions as big city = lots of people.
Emissions are a major health issue. But the reality is the pressure is not on to stop emissions. It is on to relocate them. So unless you provide clean, safe and cheap alternatives those that can afford the “tax” will pay it and the minions will have to suck up the alternative.
The shock to the system is going to be rising interest rates. Governments are going to see there costs of borrowing jump and you can guess who will be paying!! So however unfair taxation is currently, you can guess it is only going to get worse!!
